I love Rituals for the smells of their products and the fact that they are both functional and surround by the atmosphere that I remember from a SPA. For several years now, I have had black soap, scrub and body mud from the Ritual of Hammam line in my bathroom, intensely scented with eucalyptus and rosemary and evoking an exotic mood. I write more about Hammam in this and this post. I also have bath foams and scrubs.

I have bought a gift set several times, always for someone. For my own needs, I choose products by myself to avoid those less needed. This set changes that.

A combination of smells, items and daily habits

Summer of Joy is a unique gift set that will take you on a 13-days journey whenever you want to start. I have never come across a set of products so well selected, so aesthetically closed and surrounded by inspiring content.

Every day we discover fragrant products here and a description of activities and daily habits that allow you to break yourself away for a moment. Someone created and then presented the content in such a unique and aesthetic way that it really takes on meaning and turns an ordinary evening into a ritual.

Day one is a sweet, orange fragrance in a foaming shower gel

After opening a unique box, we get a full-size, golden bottle of intensely foaming shower gel. Contact with water transforms gel into a rich and luxurious foam, leaving the skin feeling soft. At the same time, the scent of sweet orange spreads on the body. I love this combination of fruit and cedar.

The creators of the set decided that this first day is called Joy.

2 collections in 13 days

The Ritual of Mehr energizes with refreshing citrus notes, enriched with flowers and the long-lasting aroma of cedar wood.
The Ritual of Karma is a series inspired by ancient Hindu beliefs and scented with white tea and lotus.

Nine of thirteen products (days) are products from these series. So it is light and exotic. Each product is closed in a separate box with a different slogan and inspiring content.

My favorite product in this set is, apart from the foaming Ritual of Mehr gel, also the Oriental Essences perfume bottle – L’Éclat, a fragrance for men and women with sandalwood and neroli. I am captivated by the smell and the appearance of the bottle.

I love the gentle body scrub with The Ritual of Karma clay in a tube. The paste contains small bamboo particles and kaolin clay. It removes dead skin cells, absorbs impurities and moisturizes. The consistency of the paste is like a thick cream, thanks to which the peeling is easy to spread on the body and the product is not lost as in the case of loose sugar or salt peels.

A product that I didn’t know that exists in Rituals before is The Ritual of Karma, a moisturizing and refreshing face and body mist. In addition to the essence of white tea and the scent of lotus, there is aloe vera there, which soothes and moisturizes.

I will also emphasize the presence of orange hand cream and room spray with the same fragrance.

The object can calm you down

Rituals hit the mark on Day 13 – Reflection, placing a 15-minute hourglass at the center of the kit. For me, the hourglass is the opposite of noise and the electronic world, and staring at it calms me down. This one is as elegant and minimalist as the others I own. The description of the 13th day encourages you to measure your meditation time with an hourglass on a daily basis. For me, measuring a quarter of an hour is an aid in cosmetic rituals, which is why it found her place in the bathroom.

It is positive that when we use up the products of this summer and sunny kit, we will have something left for longer.
